Expert guidance from Master Upholsterer Hannah Weston Smith. There will be a maximum of 8 students per class to ensure you get the guidance you need to complete your project to the best of your ability.

Spend a fun afternoon with statement lampshade maker Aimée Alice Payton creating your own lampshade to take home. Aimée has her own workshop and business in Wiltshire - we are delighted that she and her textile collection are coming up to see us in Folkingham.
18th and 19th May
10.00am - 4.00pm
Spend a weekend with statement lampshade maker Aimée Alice Payton creating your own gathered, handstitched lampshade to take home. Aimée has her own workshop and business in Wiltshire - we are delighted that she and her textile collection are coming up to see us in Folkingham.

6 Week Creative Art Course starting 5th June 10.00-12.00pm or 2.00-4.00pm.
Always fancied trying your hand at a bit of Creative Art but didn’t know where to start? You will be guided with gentle enthusiasm and expert knowledge by Sara Smith, who has been a creative painter for over 40 years.
Thursday 13th June
6.30 - 8.30pm
Our taster sessions are a great way to try your hand at felting, making a fun Highland Cow with local artisan felter Eve Marshall to take home.
Saturday 22nd June
10.00-1.00pm OR 2.00pm-5.00pm
Join wildlife artist Liz McLelland and learn to make your very own ceramic wren, you’ll discover the wonder of clay whilst learning hand building and sculpting techniques.
Thursday 27th June
6.00 - 9.00pm
This workshop is perfect for people who have a basic knowledge but have a repair or alteration that they need some help with.
July 11th 6.30-8.30pm
This workshop is with Vikki Buss. Come and spend a lovely evening creating a 20cm tall mosaic duck using glass and pottery pieces to brighten up your shelf or bookcase. All materials are provided and beginners welcome.
5 day Summer School Intensive Week 15th - 19th July

10.00 - 4.00pm (including lunch)
Join artisan felter Eve Marshall and spend the day making your own unique felted Hare to take home.
Saturday 10th August 10.00-4.00pm (including lunch)
Join printmaker Bethan Weston Smith on a Relief Print Ramble around the picturesque village of Folkingham.
Using the ideas and imagery from the ramble you will create, cut and print a lino print tile that collates aspects of your visit that caught your eye and imagination.
Saturday 19th October
10.30-12.30pm OR 1.30pm-3.30pm
Our taster sessions are a great way to try your hand at willow weaving making shapes and a small animal with local willow weaver Martin Keeley to take home.
Saturday 16th November
09.30-4.30pm
Build your very own willow pheasant with local willow weaver Martin Keeley to take home.
About The School
A place where creatives and enthusiastic amateurs can learn new practical skills in a school humming with inspiration.
Folkingham Creative Arts (FCA) is breathing new life into the old school, a Victorian building at the heart of the pretty village of Folkingham.
Launching with courses in upholstery and furniture restoration, there will soon be courses across a diverse range of creative skills such as willow weaving, lampshade making, photography and printmaking to name a few.
