Folkingham Creative Arts is breathing new life into the old school house in the heart of Folkingham.
Our Vision
A place where creatives and enthusiastic amateurs can learn new practical skills in a school humming with inspiration.
Courses are run in upholstery and furniture restoration, Curtain and blind making, and soft furnishings. There are also courses across a diverse range of creative skills such as art, felting and mosaics along side our crafternoon teas
Whether you would like to learn to reupholster a drop in seat, make a footstool, curtains or a headboard, or, maybe work on a bigger project - FCA will have a variety of courses to guide and teach you in the traditional skills of upholstery, blind making and furniture restoration.
Our Founder
Hannah Weston Smith
Beginning her career as a secondary school Design and Technology teacher, Hannah went on to complete her Masters in Furniture Conservation, Restoration and Decorative Arts. Alongside running her business Hannah & Nails Upholstery from her workshop in Folkingham for the last ten years, Hannah chairs the Guild of Traditional Upholsterers and you may also have seen her on BBC’s The Repair Shop.
